The Pret Foundation
The aim of The Pret Foundation (registered charity no. 1050195) is, as it has always been, the alleviation of poverty, hunger and homelessness. Our international reach helps us provide support to charities and organisations around the world.
Right here in Hong Kong, it is estimated that 1 in 5 people lack basic food supplies. Meanwhile, quality food is being discarded and is taking up considerable space in the city’s three landfills.
The Pret Foundation is proud to work with Hong Kong environmental charity, Feeding Hong Kong, to ensure that any unsold Pret food goes where it's needed most, rather than in the bin.
Feeding Hong Kong
Feeding Hong Kong provides an important link between companies with surplus food and charities with need across Hong Kong – helping both low-income families and the environment in the process. We try to work long-term with charity organisations to ensure that as much food gets to those in need as possible. Sadly, a few of our shops have no regular charities able to collect from them.
